I spent this morning at the Apple store. Again. This time I was sure of my goal: to get my logicboard replaced. I sat down at the Genius Bar, and notice my name is ‘Next’ on the overhead monitor. I begin to take out my MacBook Pro, hoping it doesn’t work as expected. Yup, nothing. No video. I show the tech, explain my history, and he quickly begins filling out some paperwork. He says it sounds like a logicboard replacement will be needed since any problem with the video is easier and faster to replace the whole board rather than individual chips.
I fill out the paperwork and ask how long the repair may day. I’m told 5-7 days, “but it could be much sooner.” I’m thinking next week sometime.
