Y!Mail takes down the wall

Last night Yahoo! announced their Mail service would be moving to unlimited storage. Finally. I’ve been trying to push this move since early 2004, when the ‘big news’ was moving from 4MB to 100MB … yes, megabytes.

As we approach the three-year anniversary of gmail and the TEN year anniversary of Y!Mail, I’m glad to see some of the old-school squeeze tactics are going away. No more making me pay for 10MB (yes, Yahoo!, admit it, you tried this). Now when I use my 4GB thumb drive, I won’t try to understand why I only get 1GB of email storage.
